Nasty C has launched Tall Racks Records, a digital platform empowering independent artists to control their music, manage careers, retain rights, and ensure fair payments through innovative tools.
Nasty C has officially launched Tall Racks Records, a digital platform aimed at providing independent artists with more control over their music careers. This platform was introduced eight months after Nasty C’s announcement at ACCES 2024 and is designed to help musicians move away from traditional record labels, encouraging self-reliance.
Nasty C stated that the platform’s purpose is to support artists in gaining independence from conventional music business models, which often require significant resources that may be unavailable. The digital approach allows for better identification of potential star artists using accessible data, facilitating strategic investments in the music industry.
Tall Racks Records functions as a toolkit instead of a traditional label. Artists can handle their own distribution, engage with their audience, and manage their finances. A significant benefit is that musicians maintain full ownership of their music rights, which is typically not the case in standard contracts. The platform also provides global distribution capabilities across leading streaming services and features automated royalty splits through smart contracts, ensuring collaborators receive fair and timely payments. Additionally, a digital wallet system allows artists to directly withdraw their royalties to their bank accounts.
